This Tuesday, March 29, at 7:00 p.m., Bnos Chomesh Academy will present its first ever production entitled MAKE SOME NOISE. Make Some Noise is a musical play written, directed, and performed by the students and staff of Bnos Chomesh.
On Sunday ר”ח תמוז, ,June 13th, Bnos Chomesh Academy will be holding its first flea market event. Over the past 3 months, the school has collected new, and new-condition items that people have lying in their closets, but have no use for. Unopened sets of china, pots and pans in their original packaging, beautiful housewares and clothing some still sporting original tags were donated to Bnos Chomesh in anticipation of their sale.
More than 250 Friendship Circle volunteers from many different schools, including Beis Rivkah, Bnos Menachem, Beis Chaya Mushka, Ohr Chana and Bnos Chomesh, joined together for an evening of appreciation and entertainment.

ORANGE, CT [CHI] — Beth Chana Academy of Orange, Connecticut and Bnos Chomesh Academey of Valley Stream, Long Island announced today a merger of the two high schools, effective 2008-2009 school year. The combined high school will be housed at the Southern Connecticut Hebrew Academy campus under the directorship of Rabbi Sheya Hecht; Mrs. Dena Gorkin will serve as principal.
The school will retain the ‘Beth Chana Academy’ name. The Keren Bnos Chomesh’ scholarship fund will be established to help eligible students and their families offset tuition costs.
The schools’ merger will enable the two institutions to pool their resources, combine complimentary strengths and create a Chabad high school for girls that will offer the best of both worlds – a small school atmosphere with the vitality and amenities of a large school.
VALLEY STREAM, LONG ISLAND — Bnos Chomesh Academy, a new girls’ high school located just 30 minutes from Crown Heights is now open for registration for the 2007-2008 academic year for 9th and 10th grades. Bnos Chomesh combines a strong academic curriculum with the kind of individual attention that only a school with small classes can provide.
The school’s founder and principal is Mrs. Dena Gorkin, an acclaimed mechaneches who has been working with teenage girls both in and out of the classroom for 15 years. Bnos Chomesh faculty is experienced, caring and tuned in to the educational, social, and spiritual needs of each girl. As a result, this new school has already gained the support and endorsement of some of the most respected mechanchim. The school has also received a whole-hearted approval from the principals of Beth Rivka High School.
This brunch gathered together nearly 100 school leaders, representing toddlers to twelfth grade, who shape Lubavitch Chinuch right here in Crown Heights, with a ripple effect felt worldwide.
