Crown Heights [CHI] — The entire 770 has been evacuated and all the morning regulars are congregating outside due to a suspicious package that has been mysteriously placed at the “Shalash” entrance (between old and new 770 buildings). The NYPD's bomb squad is on the way to inspect the package and determine what further steps must be taken. Update: Package determined to be harmless.

Crown Heights [CHI] — Reports are flooding in about an ongoing hostage situation on the corner of Montgomery St. and Troy Ave., where a stabbing occured. It appears the suspect fled into the corner building - 840 Montgomery - and holed himself up in one of the apartments.

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Two people were shot in a hail of bullets as a fresh wave of violence erupted on Utica Avenue, and police are searching for a single gunman described a 15-year-old black male.

Crown Heights is once again heading to the ballots, and this time it’s to elect a third Rov which will g-d willing fill the void, and bring our community close to peace. The following are the voting schedules and guidelines for the benefit of the public:

Voting Location Change: The voting will take place in the Womans section of 770, entrance on Kingston Avenue.

UPDATE FOR THE KSCVK BBQ FOR MEN TONIGHT

Due to the advice of the Rabbinical authorities, mashpiem and the advice of people of our community, the mashke tasting contest will be cancelled. The BBQ will go on as planned rain or shine with renowned badchan Reb Shlomo Hadarshan.

We ask everyone to please come and support Devorah Benjamin for her timeless effort and hard work of Keren Simchas Chosson V’Kallah who helps the community and shluchim literally all over the world.

The Wilansky family sent an email to CrownHeights.info, thanking the community for saying Tehilim for their grandparents. The grandparents are on life support, after being severely injured in a car accident in Connecticut. The email goes on to give an update on their condition and requesting to continue saying Tehillim.
