A man and a woman were found dead in the bedroom of a Crown Heights apartment Sunday evening. The 28-year-old man and 26-year-old woman, whose identities or ethnic background were not released by police, were both discovered unconscious at an apartment on Eastern Parkway near Troy Avenue at about 7:00pm. [Update: couple identified.]

Mr. Armand Koskas, father of Crown Heights resident Yonason Koskas, has not been seen since yesterday (Wednesday) morning. The elderly Mr. Koskas is suffering from Alzheimer’s, RL.

On Thursday night the 2012 Republican National Convention came to an end, as did my second experience as a page, and wow, what a time!
Wednesday was another eventful day at the RNC, and the lineup of speakers was nearly mind numbing.
Tuesday marked the first real day of the Republican National Convention, as well as my first real day performing my page duties, and I am happy to write that the day was just as exciting as I had hoped.
Despite some unpredictable changes due to the weather, the 2012 page program is in full swing! One of the best parts about the program is meeting all my fellow young republicans from around the united states.
Two months ago, Miriam Leichtling’s parents lost their jobs within a week of each other. For several months, Leichtling, a New York designer who has led several organized trips to Israel, had been agonizing over how to scrape together enough money to send her parents, ages 66 and 71, to Israel. But the cost of airfare for three – normally starting at about $1,000 per ticket, with a layover — was prohibitive.

Members of the park slope co-op are currently debating whether to vote on a measure that, if approved, will ban all Israeli products from the progressive – ‘consumer owned’ – outlet.
