New Maamar Published in honor of Chof Daled Teves
In honor of the 200th Yohrtzeit of the Alter Rebbe on Chof Daled Teves, Kehot published a Maamar, which was compiled by Vaad Hanachos b’Lahak and was given over by the Frierdiker Rebbe on the eve of Chof Daled Teves in the Tzemach Tzedek Shul in Baltimore before a crowd of around 1,500 in the year 1930. Two rockets launched from the Gaza Strip today landed in Rishon Letzion, some 7 miles south of Tel Aviv. No causalties were reported in those rocket attacks, by far the farthest strikes by Hamas in two days of fighting. Rishon Letzion is considered a sister city to Tel Aviv.
Update: Residents of Kfar Chabad are reporting that warning sirens have gone off in town. Kfar Chabad is located roughly two miles from Rishon Letzion. It is less than a mile away from Ben Gurion airport.

Currently, drivers in New York City are allowed to temporarily stand at fire hydrants only during daylight hours, but not during evening hours.

Bochurim Blackmailed by Denial of Winter Coats
For many years now, the Kupas Bochurim of the Yeshiva in 770 has been distributing hats, jackets and coats to the hundreds of students, most of whom come from Israel and lack suitable winter attire. This distribution has been funded by Sholom Ber Drizin of Crown Heights.
