Local Businessmen to Share Know-How

The ideas are in place, and all that’s left is to pound the pavement and turn an entrepreneurial dream into reality. But how do you transform impetus for success into practical sales?

On Monday, November 5, CHYE brings you “Sell It!” – a seminar and networking event for sales professionals and anyone interested in exploring the benefits of a career in sales.

According to Rabbi Yehoshua Werde, the Director of CHYE, “Sell It!” is perhaps the most exciting event we’ve held to date. The skills used in finding and closing sales are crucial to virtually every industry,” says Rabbi Werde. “These are skills that as Lubavitchers, we innately possess. Now, with the help of world-class panelists joining us from across the country, we can unlock this potential.”

The event features three breakaway sessions, targeting current and prospective sales people. From defining what a career in sales is – and isn’t – to an insiders’ guide to eCommerce strategies, there’s something for everyone.

Mark Wood, author of Attack Your Day! Before It Attacks You, a time-management book and the evening’s keynote speaker, finds the power of making a sale to be critical to bringing a new vitality to one’s work. “There is a satisfaction one gets every time a sale is made,” Woods says. “You put time and energy into a client proposal not knowing at first if it’s going to happen. When it does, it’s that satisfaction that fuels the next one.”

Attendees will be treated to pastries provided by Gombo’s bakery as well as a networking session in addition to the panels and keynote address.

Those interested in learning more about the event and registering for the special early-bird price can find details here.
