A Purim Miracle on the Road: No Challenge too large for Helping Incarcerated Jews

For the past 8 years, Jewish Services Canada-Chabad (JSC-Chabad) has sent out an army of dedicated yeshiva students to Canada’s Prisons to bring Joy and light to the Jew’s incarcerated there. Most of the prisons are located outside urban centres and deep into the wooded areas of the countryside. Some volunteers travel 3 hours each way to read Megillah to just a handful of Jews. However, this year, things took a dangerous turn.

Pesach With Your Teens Home: How To Stay Sane, Safe, and Aware

A Drop of Light, in collaboration with MASK, The Long Short Road, and Nevonim, has created a pre-Pesach course for parents of teens, titled “Pesach with Your Teens Home: How to Stay Sane, Safe, & Aware.” The goal of this course is to empower parents—whether or not their child has a mental health diagnosis—to recognize, discuss, and address signs of mental health struggles in a sensitive, caring, and constructive way.
