Menachem Levy and Simcha Friedman Team Up for Uplifting “Vayivchar B’David” Duet

Chabad singer Menachem Levy of France has released an energetic new duet with renowned Chassidic vocalist Simcha Friedman, performing the beloved Chabad niggun “Vayivchar B’David.”

The release is the latest preview from Levy’s highly anticipated album of Chabad niggunim, a project he has been developing over the past several years.

“Vayivchar B’David” is a joyful Chabad melody originally composed in honor of the Rebbe’s 77th birthday in 5739 (1979). As is customary in Chabad, the melody was later paired with the words from the Rebbe’s new annual Kapitel Tehillim, reflecting the Chassidic tradition of marking the Rebbe’s birthday with a new chapter of Tehillim.

Levy’s spirited collaboration with Friedman follows another standout duet recorded with legendary singer Avraham Fried, with additional well-known Jewish music artists expected to appear throughout the album.

With more collaborations still to be revealed, fans of Chabad niggunim have plenty to look forward to as the project continues to unfold.
