CrownHeights.info and The Avner Institute would like to present a beautiful photo of the Rebbe delivering an address to the lay leaders of Chabad together with their Shluchim (emissaries) in the winter of 1991. During this event, begun in the 1980s by Machane Israel, lay leaders were given the merit to meet with the Rebbe privately to discuss Chabad activities in their cities, as well as personal matters.

On Tuesday, a fire charred the home of Rabbi Rafi Rosenberg's, near 20th Court and 18th Avenue. The blaze reportedly began because of a candle. Most of the family was inside the home at the time of the fire.

Students Receive Awards for Tanya Baal Peh

Students of Yeshiva Oholei Torah of Crown Heights learned Tanya by heart for a program launched by Rabbi Mordechai and Mrs. Shterney Kanelsky, of the Bris Avrohom Center in Hillside, NJ, in loving memory of their beloved daughter, Bat Sheva ob”m, who passed away seven years ago.

Student leaders at U of IL Recognized at Chabad Event

On Sunday night, May 23, Chabad at University of Illinois had its Celebration event. Celebrating Jewish life at University of Illinois, this special event was put together by parents alumni and friends. close to 200 people came together to celebrate the work and recognise the parents of the year Brian and Andrea Birkan, and recognize the 24 student leaders that dedicate their time on the Chabad Leadership Board.
