ULY Mesivta Enjoys Shabbaton

Fifty bochurim from Chovevei Torah ULY Mesivta enjoyed a beautiful Shabbaton at Lubavitch on the Palisades in New Jersey. It was a Shabbos full of learning and farbrenging with their mashpi’im and magidei shiur, including Rabbi Minsky, Rabbi Simpson, Rabbi Shur, and Rabbi Greenwald.

One year after the tsunami that wasn’t, a massive shockwave spawned by an afternoon 8.9-earthquake off the coast of Japan slammed into the island nation Friday with 13-foot seas and sent tourists and locals almost 4,000 miles away in Hawaii scrambling for higher ground.

Certain that G-d’s involvement with planet earth was no longer necessary; a presumptuous group of people sent word, requesting that the Master honor the will of His supreme creatures and consider a leave of absence.

Surprisingly amicable; G-d had but one stipulation: He needed assurance of man’s ability to run things on his own. The representative of the people boldly offered to match G-d’s ability in whatever He should decide.

2nd Graders Spread Adar Joy!

In the spirit of the month of Adar students in Lubavitcher Yeshivas 2nd grade set out and spread joy to the residents of two assisted living centers. The boys sang niggunim and Purim songs bringing tears of happiness to the eyes of the elderly men and women. One talmid played the piano, another said a dvar torah in Russian and sang Russian songs. It was an enriching and uplifting experience for both the residents and the talmidim.
