This week, a unique bris-ceremony was held for the Orange County Jewish Community. On Tuesday, 16 Adar II, several hundred members of the Orange County community as well as family and friends gathered for the bris of Asher Zelig Burston, son of Rabbi Pesach and Chana Burston, Chabad Shluchim of Orange County New York.

Merkos Shlichus: A 3 Day Marathon of Interviews

Last week, hundreds of Bochurim found themselves at Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters in Crown Heights, as they participated in a three day marathon of interviews for Pesach’s Merkos Shlichus. The Bochurim met with Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, who directs and is responsible for this program, along with project coordinators, Rabbi’s Mendel Kotlarsky and Schneur Nejar.

From sunny Cairns to flood ravaged Toowoomba; from idyllic Coffs Harbour to downtown Geelong the sounds of partying and megillah reading rang out. Chabad of RARA hosted Purim parties in more than half a dozen cities across three states this year with hundreds of Jews in rural and regional areas getting in touch with their religion and heritage.
