‘From Israel with a Blessing’
In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Chabad Lubavitch Center of the Eastern Shore in Maryland, three ornately lettered Seder Torah scrolls from Israel were presented in a festive atmosphere with singing, dancing and dinner.

A New York home care services agency is offering free trips to the Jewish Children’s Museum in Brooklyn for all senior citizen groups. In addition, the company, which provides trained caregivers to patients’ homes, is also offering a 15 percent discount to weekday visitors accompanied by at least one grandparent.

A teen charged with Calgary’s first ever hate crime has been sentenced to 18 months of probation and 150 hours of community service.

New Synagogue to Rise at Black Sea Port
Boris Gelman, vice chairman of the Jewish community of Sevastopol, announced that construction of a new synagogue will soon commence in the Ukrainian Black Sea port. Chief Rabbi Binymain Wolf, a Chabad-Lubavitch emissary in the region, will spearhead the project, which will be located next to the city’s Holocaust memorial.
