150 Educators Gather in Crown Heights
In the last week before the new school year, the Chabad Early Childhood Education (CECE) Network presented its annual Joint Orientation & Networking session. A broad spectrum of over 150 preschool educators joined the program from Chabad House-based preschools across the New York area, ranging from Philadelphia to Connecticut.
Yeshivas Kayitz-Costa Rica Does It Again!
For the third straight summer, Yeshivas Kayitz-Costa Rica was an unbelievable success. The program, under the auspices of the Head Shliach to Costa Rica Rabbi Hershel Spalter, and organized by director Moshe Minsky, was geared towards yeshiva students ages 16-17 who were looking to have an exciting summer while continuing to have a Yeshiva experience.

Chabad of Jupiter, Florida created a Shofar Factory in Abacoa’s Town Center for kids and families to make ram’s horns—shofars—and take them home for the upcoming Jewish New Year holidays, which begin at sundown on Sept. 16, when Jews worldwide blow a ram’s horn to evoke the start of the Jewish calendar.

Chabad Hosts Sheva Brochos for Rutgers Grad
Last night Rutgers University Jewish Outreach (RUJO), a program of the Rabbinical College of America and Chabad of New Jersey, hosted the second Sheva Brachos for a Rutgers Grad student. Notwithstanding the bad weather, the barbecue dinner was held at the Local Hillel, Which has close ties with the Rabbinical College of America.

With hundreds of guests set to arrive in Crown Heights for the months of Elul and Tishrei, the question of where they will sleep, or how to provide meaningful programming so that Bochruim and girls do not roam the streets in boredom, lingered. One organization, which had filled that spiritual gap, recently added dorms and now food as well.
