The news quickly spread to the members of CTeen’s Teaneck, New Jersey chapter: Oceanside, New York was badly hurting from the fierce winds of Hurricane Sandy. Twelve volunteers sacrificed their day off from school and drove more than an hour to help the distressed residents of the Long Island town. As the van of teens approached the distraught neighborhood, the chaos and havoc they saw confirmed that what had been depicted in the news was no exaggeration.

A new Sefer Torah is paraded through the streets of Crown Heights before entering its home-to-be at Oihel Nosson. The Torah was written in memory of Rebbetzin Rochel Duchan, Shlucha in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away during childbirth 26 years ago. It was sponsored by her husband and eight children.
On Sunday, representatives of Neturei Karta participated in the annual memorial service in Ramallah marking the day of the passing of PLO Chairman Yassir Arafat. They stood out in the crowd in their black clothes, each wearing identification tags over a background of a Palestinian flag.
