Montreal was certainly a warm place on Rosh Hashonah l’Chassidus! Yud-Tes Kislev was celebrated by the High School students of Beth Rivkah Montreal, together with their mothers and bubbies, at a festive Seuda-Farbrengen.
The Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs held its first all women’s event this past Wednesday at CHYE’s center. Chabad on Campus International Foundation has partnered with Alpha Epsilon Pi International, the largest Jewish fraternity, to ensure that every AEPi house will receive a Menorah kit including a Menorah, Chanukah guide, dreidels, chocolate gelt, and a “Chanukah Party Guide”. Kits are being sent to 170 AEPi chapters in the United States, Canada, Europe and Israel.

CROWN HEIGHTS — Satmar Chassidim gathered in the Bedford Avenue armory in Crown Heights Heights marking Kuf Alef Kislev, the day Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum Zt’l, the founder of Satmar Chassidus in America, escaped from Hungary during the holocaust.

Monday, December 3, corresponding this year to 19 Kislev, is marked by Jewish communities around the world in commemoration of the 214th anniversary of Chabad’s founder, Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi’s liberation from Czarist imprisonment.
