As the summer comes to a close, a select group of Talmidim at the Yeshiva Summer Program in Morristown, NJ traveled to the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens to give thanks for an incredible summer and to share with the Rebbe their accomplishments.
Members of the Chabad community were out in force at a large solidarity rally in support of Israel outside Parliament house in Melbourne, Sunday 14 Av 5744. The rally attracted over 2,000 people, numerous politicians and other community leaders.
With great sadness and pain we inform you of the untimely passing of Mrs. Tzivia Zaklos, a beloved educator and veteran member of the Lubavitch community in Montreal, Canada. She was 57 years old.

A Lubavitcher was seriously injured in a ATV crash in the Evergreen Estates bungalow colony in Loch Sheldrake, NY. The man, who was riding the vehicle with his daughter, was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center and is listed in critical condition. Please say Tehillim for Tzvi Hersh ben Guttel.
“The verse ‘Honor G-d with your property,’ can also be read as ‘Honor G-d with your voice.’ This is especially appropriate for a cantor such as yourself,” says the Rebbe to Cantor Joseph Malovany of the Fifth Avenue Synagogue.

Chabad Terror Victims Project continues its visits to the IDF soldiers wounded in the Gaza war, and will do so for as long as they are needed, no matter how long that may be. They bring them Chitases, special treats and iPads, and the comfort of their caring and concern. This short video demonstrates, as nothing else can, the emotional impact such visits have on these great heroes of Israel.

After 72 hours of ‘ceasefire,’ at 8:00am this morning, the sounds of air raid sirens, civilians scrambling to safe areas and rockets exploding were heard throughout Ashkelon. By 2:00pm, over 50 rockets had landed in the area.
What a difference a week can make. Last Shabbos was Shabbos Chazon, the height of the three week period of mourning. On Shabbos Chazon we read the third of the three Haftora’s of rebuke, in which the prophet Yishayahu forewarns about the impending disaster that was about to befall the Jewish people as a result of their sins.

Over the years, Yeshiva Summer Program of Morristown, NJ has received some direct unique instructions from the Rebbe. Years ago, Rabbi Yisroel Gordon (YSP’s founder) was in Yechidus and the Rebbe instructed him to make sure to take photos of the programs and events he does, so people will remember.
