Angry Students Spread Inflammatory ‘Pashkvils’
This morning, residents of Crown Heights left their homes to find that during the night “Pashkvils” (anonymous leaflets) had been placed in the windshields of cars all over the neighborhood. The leaflets were placed by several students of Oholei Torah Mesivta, who were protesting a supposed “slight” to the Rebbe’s “honor” during the school’s group portrait that took place Wednesday.
Eighth Graders Compete in Shoneh Halachos
Eighth graders from Oholei Torah and Lubavitcher Yeshiva competed in a Shoneh Halachos competition. The goal of the program is to increase the knowledge of Halacha and Yiras Shamayim.

Major Gen. Rabbi Mordechai Piron, chief rabbi of the Israel Defense Force during the 1973 Yom Kippur War, as well as a strong advocate for war widows and orphans, passed away on May 27. He was 93 years old.
