I was one of her first students in Kindergarten Oholei Torah in 1957. Was a sweet and eidel person.

  • A lovely lady

She davenned in my shul until recently. She was so aidel, tznius and emesdik. I used to watch her daven for a few minutes to get inspired before I started to daven myself.

Her father was R’ Leizer Devokin HYD (Tzertzershker). He was one of the first Talmidim in Tomchi Tmimim in Lubavitch. He was a very respected rov in a town called cherson. He was murdered by the nazis y”s on tziom Gedalia 1941 along with his wife, daughter, son in law, and aprox. 5,000-8,000 other Jews, in a field a little north of the town. He was a friend of R’Itche der masmid and was great Chosid and yerei shomaim, and insisted on not being in any photograph, hence no photo of him exists today. He has 4 daughters and no sons. Rebbetzin Esther OBM was his youngest child.
