Hundreds of families turned out for a Kosher Fair on Kingston Avenue. The fair included many kosher food vendors as well as a petting zoo, also a show featuring Uncle Moishe and the Small Wonders Puppet Theater entertained the kids.

A peculiar sight unfolded this Sunday afternoon in front of Oholei Torah on Eastern Parkway. A number of Bochurim and volunteers from Chesed Shel Emes decked out in Hazmat suits and masks sifting through the mountains of trash bags in search of a lost pair of Tefillin.

This new edition of Tanya, published by the Kehot Publication Society, presents the Tanya text surrounded by three elements: a concise commentary by the Rebbe, references and glossaries, and an anthology of commentaries by the Rebbes of Chabad.
Bnei Akiva Buys Foreclosed ‘Running Springs’
After sitting dormant for nearly three years following a foreclosure and a lengthy lawsuit between Chabad of California—the previous owner—and Pacific Mercantile Bank, a 78-acre campground and resort center in Running Springs named ‘Kiryas Schneerson’ was sold Friday for $7.1 million to a different Orthodox Jewish group, Bnei Akiva of Los Angeles.

Three Lubavitchers Arrested in FBI Drug Sting
Three Lubavitcher men from Crown Heights, ages 47, 30 and 27, were arrested by FBI agent for allegedly attempting to purchase 50 pounds of marijuana and store it in an Atlantic Avenue warehouse.
Motorist Waits for Police for Over 3 Hours After Crash
On Friday morning, in the middle one of Crown Heights’ most busy thoroughfares, a totaled minivan sat for over three hours. The reason: Police never showed up after the accident, and the driver, a Jewish woman in her ninth month of pregnancy, was forced to sit in the summer heat and wait for them.
