Released Time Hosts Shabbaton In Crown Heights
Year round, the New York City public school children enrolled in the Released Time program look forward to the annual Crown Heights Shabbaton. This year, as always, a large group of children joined the Shabbaton, which consisted of many exciting activities and gave the children a true taste of Shabbos.

Jewish Woman Killed in Ukraine; Rockets Hit Near Shul
A Jewish woman, an employee of the local Chabad pre-school, was killed in the separatist stronghold of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine overnight by a rocket that slammed into her apartment. Other rockets landed and exploded near the city’s main synagogue.

Christians Donate $650,000 to Jewish Communities in Eastern Ukraine
The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews pledged $650,000 in emergency funding for Jews in the battle zones of eastern Ukraine. The funding will ensure thousands of food and medicine packages, as well as three months of operating soup kitchens and providing security for Jewish synagogues and institutions in Donetsk, Lugansk and Mariupol.
