Brooklyn Exhibits ‘Jewish-Syrian Metal Works: The Lost Art of Damascus’
When Sharon Shriqui attended the opening of the featured exhibit on display at the Jewish Children’s Museum in Brooklyn, N.Y., she hoped to reconnect to her family’s Syrian heritage. She sought to do this amid glass displays featuring large plates, small chests, ornamental vases and Arabian coffee sets designed by Maurice Nseiri, the acclaimed Syrian artist who recently arrived from Israel to join his family living in New York.
Jewish Man Stabbed on the Streets of Milan
A 40-year-old Israeli man was attacked and stabbed multiple times while walking in Milan, Italy. Initial reports say he attacked by three Arab assailents – one of whom may have been a woman. The victim was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

Battle over Jewish Man’s Cremation Fought in Court
This past Rosh Hashana, Mr. Martin Mendelsohn went downstairs to the recreation room of Evergreen Court Home for Adults in Spring Valley, NY, to listen to the shofar. On Tuesday afternoon he passed away peacefully in his sleep. To date he has not been buried.
