Collaboration between Shomrim and local Neighborhood Coordination Officers from the 71st Precinct led to the arrest.

It’s that time of year again; The CTeen International Shabbaton, the largest youth Shabbaton in the country, is less than three weeks away. What began nine years ago with forty-teens has expanded to 1,516 set to arrive this year, iy’h. When calculated with chaperones, and staff, the number jumps to a whopping 2,034 participants, making this the largest Shabbaton to be hosted in Crown Heights to date.
On 22 Shevat 5748, the Rebbe’s wife, Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka passed away. The Rebbetzin devoted her entire life to the Rebbe and his Chassidim, but her modesty meant that only when the Rebbe began to publicly speak about her, did many begin to appreciate her true greatness. After her passing, the Rebbe urged Chassidim to apply these lessons in their own lives.
After introducing himself, Reb Mordechai handed to the Rebbe the letters that he was given by the chassidim in New York. The Rebbe picked up the letters and Reb Mordechai began trembling. He noticed that the color of the Rebbe’s face was constantly changing from letter to letter. This was a phenomenon that he had never witnessed by any of the other numerous Tzaddikim he had been in contact with and he recognized that this was a different kind of reading that he had witnessed until now by others.
