A convivial funeral-home owner, a retired insurance investigator and a Massachusetts rabbi teamed up to bring an abandoned body to Jewish burial Thursday morning. A bevy of volunteers joined the two-week long search that brought this seven-month ordeal to a close.
Four survivors of a fiery crash that occurred on Ches Tammuz 5729/1969, met up in Crown Heights Thursday night on its 50th Anniversary. They were joined from Montreal by Yosel Minkowitz via video.
Two people were killed in a traffic accident east of Jerusalem Friday morning. The crash occurred on westbound Route 1, near the Israeli town of Mitzpeh Yericho, east of Jerusalem, when a car flipped over. Two people inside the car, both in their 20s, were killed. A third victim, approximately 18 years of age, was seriously injured.
