With great sadness we inform you of the passing of Rabbi Binyomin Hakohen Katz OBM, of New Haven Connecticut. Rabbi Katz had a unique connection with the Rebbe, and was sent on secretive missions for the Rebbe in Soviet Russia. He passed away Tuesday Chol Hamoed Pesach, Yud Ches Nissan 5779.
Tefillin Recovered Through YouTube Find
A European YouTuber had an unexpected find when he discovered a pair of Tefillin in a bulk lot of unclaimed items from Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. The YouTuber, clueless to his find, was happy to sell the Tefillin to a quick acting Lubavitcher for €180.

Today, the 18th of Nissan, marks the passing of the Rav, Rabbi Joseph Ber Soloveitchik, the Rosh Yeshiva of Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (Yeshiva University). Rabbi Soloveitchik held the Rebbe in great esteem and came to visit the Rebbe several times.
Body of Israeli Spy Eli Cohen, Not Found
The IDF Spokesperson on Monday, released a statement denying any progress in locating the body of legendary Israeli spy Eli Cohen. There were several reports last week claiming that Russian officials had taken Cohen’s remains out of Syria, where he was executed more than five decades ago.

The thieves gave chase with bats, catching up when the Jewish man fell, and took back the keys. The attack was caught on dashcam, but the thieves attempted escape happens off camera. Now, surveillance footage has surfaced of the moment the Stamford Hill police corner the criminals, and make the arrest.

Tragic incident Fatally Injures 4-Year-Old
United Hatzala EMS volunteers treated a young boy who was hit by a bus on HaChozeh M’Lublin Street in Beitar Illit. Volunteers attempted to resuscitate the boy (approximately 4 years old) and initiated CPR. Unfortunately, after lengthy efforts, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Catalytic Converter Thieves Attack Jewish man in London
A group of men stealing Catalytic Converters attacked a Jewish man in Stamford Hill London who witnessed the theft and attempted to stand up to them. The attackers were caught on dash cam from a nearby parked car.

Ukraine to Elect Jewish President, Exit Polls
According to preliminary exit polls, the Ukrainian president elect will be Jewish Comedian Volodymyr Zelensky. The projected election win is being called a landslide that will make Ukraine the only country outside of Israel to have both a Jewish president and prime minister.
