Jewish Community Tackles Drug Abuse Problem

More than 200 people turned out on Motzei Shabbos, March 4th at the Beth Gavriel Center in Forest Hills, Queens for an event that was designed to continue spreading the word about the prevalence of drug abuse within the Jewish community while offering practical suggestions and guidance to address the growing problem. The crowd was captivated by several expert medical health professionals and educators, among them the renowned  lecturer and author Rabbi Y.Y. Jacobson.

Lag Ba’omer Parade to Be Last Until 2024

Preparation for The Great Lag B’Omer Parade is in high gear. It’s been three long years since the last parade, and Lag B’Omer won’t be on Sunday again until 5784 (2024)! The Parade committee is working overtime to make this parade one that will be remembered for years to come, with many special surprises on the way – including a performance by Jewish singing superstar Benny Friedman, and a special live show by children’s favorite “Mitzvah Boulevard” along with Chaim Fogelman.
