Letter Decries Omission of Jewish Residents from Zoning Study

A zoning study which was requested by the Jewish Community Council and meant to explore the possibility of improving conditions for Crown Heights homeowners has been the point of much contention. In a strongly worded letter the JCC decries the fact that the proposal has been drastically changed from the initial proposal and has spawned racist and hate-filled debate between residents and activists opposed to any zoning change.

Arizona Gets 20th Chabad Center

It’s a long way from New York to Arizona—nearly 2,500 miles, to be exact. That’s where Rabbi Elie and Bracha Filler now find themselves, starting the first Chabad center in the city of Prescott and the 20th Chabad center in the state of Arizona.

Wednesday: Rally at the Ohel

CGI Detroit Announces Girls’ Head Staff

While the East Coast and Midwest brave the frigid winter, summer plans are well on their way at CGI Detroit. The girls’ division of the popular overnight camp has just revealed who will lead the camp this summer: three capable and experienced girls who will serve as head counselors.
