Considering sending your child to yeshiva? Think again. Or rather, don’t send them. So I learned from my grandfather, the esteemed Lubavitcher chosid, Rabbi Shlomo Aron Kazarnovsky. He planted this seed in my head over 30 years ago, on a walk down Nashville’s stately West End Avenue going home from my father’s shul to my parent’s home at the corner of Whitland and Leonard.

Hatzalah Paramedics Ticketed in Catskills Town

Two Hatzolah EMS volunteers responded to a call for an individual who was in diabetic shock near Woodridge’s Village Hall Wednesday night, when they were ticketed by ‘Police Chief’ (the town has only two police officers) John Calvello for “unlawful use of red lights.”

JLI’s National Jewish Retreat Makes Waves in Florida

The National Jewish Retreat held this past week in Weston, Florida, was a sold-out phenomenon that drew on an international roster of speakers, teachers and outstanding personalities from the business and academic worlds. Some 800 Jews from all over the world gathered for five days of inspiration and learning sponsored by the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI).
