Lubavitcher Bochur to Page at Republican Convention

Lubavitcher Bochur Yosef Abrahamson has been selected to receive the very competitive and prestigious honor to serve as a Page for the Republican National Convention, where Mitt Romney will be officially nominated to run for president. The convention will take place at the end of August in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Yosef was selected in 2008 for John McCain‘s nomination, and his older sister Sarah was selected in 2004 for George W. Bush.

Yosef, who is a former 2-time winner of the N.Y. Commissioner for a day Essay Contest, graduated in 2011 with an Associate Degree in Business from Bramson Ort College, and received Smicha (Rabbinical Ordination) this past Spring from Rabbi Moshe Stern, of the Beis Din of Montreal. He is currently working with Nebraska Republican Congressman Lee Terry on his re-election Campaign.

The entire Abrahamson Family – who also earlier this year appeared with Oprah Winfrey on her Next Chapter show – will attend the Convention in Tampa, where Republican Central Committee Woman Dinah Abrahamson will introduce her granddaughter and newest member of the family, Ella, to the Grand Old Party. Ella will be the youngest credentialed Republican attending the Convention and will have a daily photo blog.

There is no honor is serving Mitt Romney or any Republican interest. Their beliefs are antithetical to Torah and halacha. People think they are the “right” way but they are committing mamish aveiros!

Althought I am no big fan of Chabad and Chassidim in general, hats off to you people for showing all the World that the fact Jews don’t accept converts is a big lie!If this fine young man is not a convert, forgive me my mistake.Anyway, chapeau to him too!

Really, you should be ashamed. You don’t even know him. He’s just as Jewish as you (if indeed you are) without any help.

BTW, have you never heard of a ger tzedek? Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe there are and were great tzaddikim who were gerim as well, which would probably put them on a much higher level than you or I.

While I’m at it, if you are “no big fan of Chabad and Chassidim in general”, what inspired you to check out this web site. Just sayin’…

it seems you are you confused with the communist party. Or the new Socialist party (aka democrats). Because the Republican party wants to bring G-D back into the country. These were the Lubavitcher Rebbes wishes. The Rebbe warned not to take G-D out of the schools etc. and now look what we got.

Please take your anti REAL Lubavitch views elsewhere.

When it comes to upholding the 7 Mitzvos, the Republicans are light years ahead of the Democrats.

The Abrahamson family has a long tradition of activism in the Republican party. Congressman Terry is a long-time family friend.
