Picture of the Day – The Police Response to Carjacking

A reader sent us a picture this morning of what he himself called “the polices response to the carjacking”. In order to increase the community’s sense of protection the police park empty vehicles near high crime areas, so following yesterdays carjacking the police parked a three-wheeled scooter near the scene of the incident.

JEM’s Encounter with Montreal

Benjamin Aminoff first came to what is now the 47th Street Synagogue in Manhattan some 40 years ago when he moved to the United States from Jerusalem to work as a colored stones salesman. “It was the only synagogue that was convenient for me to come and pray,” says Aminoff, who believes himself to be the synagogue’s oldest member.
