Second Grader Dress as Kohen Godol

This Friday, Kitah Bais in the Yeshiva College – Cheder Chabad, in Sydney, Australia, made the clothes of the “Kohen Godol – the High Priest!

In Cheder Chabad great efforts are made to make the weekly Torah portion studied come alive for the children, and as this week the children studied about the priestly garments worn in the Temple, (and the holiday of Purim is around the corner) the children were given an opportunity to make “priestly garments” of their own.

At the moment there are over 150 students, Ken Yirbu, at the Cheder and the school is Baruch Hashem still growing!

The Yeshiva College – Cheder Chabad is a branch of the Yeshiva Centre – Chabad Headquarters of NSW, under the auspices of Rabbi Pinchus Hacohen sheyichye Feldman, Head Shliach of the Rabbe to NSW, Australia.

As a mother who has seen half a dozen Kohen Godol projects over the years I must say I am very inpressed with both the attention to detail of the outfit which includes the tefillin shel Rosh and the fact that the boys were sewing and using other skills! Kol Hakovod to the teacher/Rebbi involved!
