More Gun Violence, Man Shot on Empire Boulevard

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — More gun violence erupts on the Streets of Crown Heights, only this time in broad daylight. At around 4:00pm a person was shot in the leg on Empire Boulevard and Schenectady Avenue.

City Bus Swipes Parked Car

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — An MTA bus swiped a parked car on Kingston earlier today, the incident took place on Carroll and Kingston at around 12:30pm as the bus apparently tried to pull into the bus stop across the street and hit the parked car.

The Rebbe’s Shluchim were celebrating 29 years to their Shlichus at a gala dinner and Hachnosas Sefer Torah.

Agriprocessors Poultry Production to Resume Thursday

Earlier this month: A truckload of poultry is moved around inside the AgriProcessors plant in Postville on Nov. 3. The plant has now suspended its meat operation but says it will reopen its poultry lines this week.

POSTVILLE, IA — The Agriprocessors meatpacking plant in Postville suspended production Monday, but one of its officials said the operation should reopen later this week.

2 Robbers Killed in Shootout at a Brooklyn Store

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A Brooklyn variety-store owner was critically wounded during a shootout Monday night in which he shot and killed two robbers, the police said.

The police said they thought the two dead men were armed and had attempted to rob the store, located at 1051 Nostrand Avenue, between Sterling and Lefferts, at about 8:20 p.m. It was unclear who fired first, the police said.
