Chabad on Campus Families Gather

Supporting Jewish students on campus is vital work that takes year-round dedication, love and commitment. With the 2017-2018 academic year now complete, campus Shluchim and their families gathered this week at the annual Chabad on Campus International Kinus to reflect on past experiences and plan for the year ahead.

UK Shluchim Gather for Regional Kinus

During the two days of the Kinus 92 Shluchim from all over the UK participated in 22 lectures and workshops and left energised to continue to their Shlichus with renewed purpose and vigour. The conference was held in the magnificent setting of Bosworth Hall Hotel (part of the Brittania Group) in the picturesque village of Market Bosworth.

Campus Shluchos Hone Fundraising Skills

Chabad on Campus Shluchim and Shluchos around the world impact over one hundred thousand Jewish students every year. Whether through a Friday night meal for a student who has never experienced a Shabbos, learning opportunities that can engage minds, or simply the feeling of pride and connection deep in the soul of a Jewish student who walks past their campus Menorah on Chanukah.

Historic Shluchim Gathering in Westport

More than 150 Shluchim from New York and New England gathered on Sunday, the 20th of Sivan, at the brand new Chabad Center in Westport, CT. The new center is a remodeled inn originally built in the early 1800s. Rabbi Yehuda Leib and Nechama Dina Kantor hosted the Kinus, which also served as a fitting Chanukas Habayis.

Shluchos Gather to Hone their Skills as Educators

Last week, 27 campus Shluchos from around the world came together to learn from industry experts and to share ideas at the first Chabad on Campus International Shluchos Pedagogy Training. The group spent three intense days at the DoubleTree Hilton hotel in Newark, New Jersey, learning with renowned presenters and focusing on developing key skills.

Bar Mitzvah Gift: Vegas Show Headlined by Boy With Disabilities

Sometimes what happens in Vegas shouldn’t just stay in Vegas. Levi Harlig’s extraordinary bar mitzvah is one of them. Levi gave a flawless reading of Parshat Naso, the longest Torah portion of the year, and delivered a Chassidic discourse in Yiddish and Hebrew last Shabbat morning at Chabad of Green Valley/Henderson in Las Vegas. The following evening, the 13-year-old sang and drummed for three hours with entertainer Avraham Fried at a community-wide celebration at the Four Seasons Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip.
