Chabad bespoke tailor Rabbi Yosel Tiefenbrun met Steven Salen a Holocaust survivor who is now 100 years old. Salen was a very successful tailor who went on to making suits for president Ford and Nixon amongst many other famous clients. Tiefenbrun delightedly accepted a pair of shears Salen had used in his work.

With just hours to Yom Kippur, an interesting duo was spotted outside 770. Two red coated volunteers from the “Guardian Angels,” a volunteer safety patrol in New York City, had stationed themselves in the center of the Erev Yom Kippur rush.
Roughly 100,000 people gathered at the Kotel in Jerusalem late Monday night for Selichot ahead of the Yom Kippur holiday. According to the Western Wall Heritage Foundation, an estimated one-and-a-half million people visited the Kotel Plaza during the month of Elul.
Hundreds of Crown Heights residents turned out Sunday afternoon to do Kaporos in the parking lot of Bais Rivka Crown Street. The Kaporos was arranged by NCFJE, with the cost subsidized at $5 a chicken.

With Tishrei Guests pouring into Crown Heights, the 71st Precinct has taken measures to protect the community. The usual street vendors were prohibited from opening up shop in front of 770, and this sign was placed above the Shul entrance.
