This year, Chamisha Asar B’av falls on Friday, August 16th/ 15th of Av, Erev Shabbos Nachamu and marks the 5th year of Challah Bake International. This auspicious time is ideal for women to join not only in the mitzvah of Hafroshas Challah while baking in their own kitchens, but also in giving tzedokah and davening for each other’s children of marriageable age, and arousing Heavenly mercy for a significant, positive change in finding shidduchim for our children. Shocking Vandalism: Mezuzah Scroll Defaced with “Allah Ahbar”
In a shocking case of vandalism, a Willimasburg man found the words “Alah Ahbar” scrawled on mezuzah scroll of him home. The vandalism is believed to have been perpetrated by a construction worker that had recently done work at his home.

Armed Terrorist Shot After Infiltrating into Israel
IDF lookouts on Sunday morning identified an armed terrorist approaching the border fence in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said. The terrorist fired at IDF soldiers along the border. The soldiers, who were on alert following the identification of the terrorist, opened fire at him.
Certified Kallah Teachers Now Available Around the World
Two years ago, Mikvah.org instituted a comprehensive Kallah Teachers Training Course to ensure that every kallah would be able to learn from the best. Under the direct leadership and guidance of Harav Sholom Ber Chaikin of Cleveland, OH, over 35 women trained intensively for a full year.

A Jewish woman was stalked and harassed by a man on a Crown Heights street Thursday, when he stopped her from passing and made ant-Semitic, and anti-White statements. The man was arrested by the NYPD.

Israeli Soldier Murdered In Suspected Kidnapping Attempt
IDF spokesperson: The body of a soldier was found in the early hours of the morning with stabbing wounds, near the city of Hebron. The soldier was a student in a Yeshiva, at the first stage of his military service. Our troops together with Israeli security forces are searching the area.
80 Women Plan Hebrew School Year in 2 Days
Eighty North American educators gathered in Crown Heights this past week for a two-day Hebrew School planning sprint. A project by CKids of Merkos, Suite 302, the conference gave these Hebrew School directors an opportunity to network with their colleagues, explore new ideas and curriculums, brainstorm, and fully map out their Hebrew School calendar with the help of their peers and experts in the field.
