This year, Chamisha Asar B’av falls on Friday, August 16th/ 15th of Av, Erev Shabbos Nachamu and marks the 5th year of Challah Bake International. This auspicious time is ideal for women to join not only in the mitzvah of Hafroshas Challah while baking in their own kitchens, but also in giving tzedokah and davening for each other’s children of marriageable age, and arousing Heavenly mercy for a significant, positive change in finding shidduchim for our children. IDF lookouts on Sunday morning identified an armed terrorist approaching the border fence in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said. IDF spokesperson: The body of a soldier was found in the early hours of the morning with stabbing wounds, near the city of Hebron. The soldier was a student in a Yeshiva, at the first stage of his military service. Our troops together with Israeli security forces are searching the area.
Eighty North American educators gathered in Crown Heights this past week for a two-day Hebrew School planning sprint. A project by CKids of Merkos, Suite 302, the conference gave these Hebrew School directors an opportunity to network with their colleagues, explore new ideas and curriculums, brainstorm, and fully map out their Hebrew School calendar with the help of their peers and experts in the field.
