Subway Rider Roughed Up by Hasidic Cop Made Anti-Semitic Slurs

BROOKLYN, NY — The city’s first Hasidic cop was excoriated in a anti-Semitic rant by a dog-loving subway passenger who allegedly refused to place her sick pet in an animal carrier, sources and a witness said yesterday.

Brooklyn blogger Chrissie Brodigan claimed Officer Joel Witriol went ballistic when he saw her take her pug, Dempsey, out of her purse in violation of subway regulations at around 5:30 p.m. Monday. She said he cuffed her, insulted her and roughed her up.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A wild police chase ended on a Crown Heights sidewalk and the arrest of the driver of a stolen van.

Shomrim Apprehend Burglar & Return Missing Child over Shabbos

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Over Shabbos Shomrim radios crackled to life on two separate occasions over Shabbos, the first a call for a burglar inside of a Jewish building on Friday night, and the second from the Police Precinct after officers found a young Jewish special needs child wandering on Nostrand Avenue alone.

While men were still in Shul on Friday night a woman called the Shomrim hotline and stated that there was a Black male who broke into her building, 575 East New York Avenue, and was trying to get into apartments. Many Shomrim members responded and upon arrival all they found to be missing was one bicycle from the garage area.

Two Jewish Woman Attacked Friday Evening, Police Refuse Assistance

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Two Jewish women were assaulted Friday night by Black strangers. The two incidents occurred around the same time, on different ends of the neighborhood. One of the victims flagged down a police car that refused to help and did not call for another unit to assist her, instead telling the witnesses to “get over it.”

One incident took place on Carroll Street between Brooklyn and Kingston Avenues around 9:00pm, as people were returning home from Shul. A Black male, described to be in his late teens or early twenties, walked passed a Jewish married woman and slapped her. He then fled toward Kingston Avenue. The perpetrator was described as wearing a dark-colored, sleeveless T-shirt and dark jeans.

Black Teen Assaults Jew, Jew Arrested

Update 10:50pm: The Police have arrested the Yid that was assaulted, he is currently handcuffed to his hospital bed, but have not charged him with anything yet. The black teen was held briefly, but has been released into his parents custody.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] –- Today, Wednesday at about 4:15pm, a Black teen went on a rampage after attempting to scare a Jew, attacking another with a rock causing him to loose consciousness, and brawling with a witness. The short chase down Albany Avenue when Shomrim members and police came at him from opposite directions and the assailant gave up fleeing.

Graffiti Indicates New Gang Activity in Crown Heights

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Sets of similar graffiti tags have been spotted and reported to CrownHeights.info. The graffiti found was laced with anti-Semitic undertones that have residents concerned.

The graffiti consisted of the numbers 187, a Star of David, and sometimes a swastika. A source in the NYPD indicated that the characteristics of this particular ‘tag’ are attributed to the Crips gang, while a similar tag was attributed to the Fame gang.

Attempted Break-in Friday Afternoon

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Friday afternoon, a woman preparing for Shabbos was startled when someone tried gain access to her house through the back door. The incident took place at 3:00pm, in the alleyway of Carroll and Crown St between Albany and Troy Ave.

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A Jewish man was assaulted yesterday, Wednesday evening next to his garage where he stores bikes for his local Gemach. The incident took place in the alley on New York Ave, between Montgomery and Crown St, less then a block from the 71st precinct. Three black males threw glass bottles and rocks at him in attempt to scare him off and get the bikes.

Over Yom Tov the New York Post covered the assault of a Crown Heights bochur on Montgomery Street on their daily blotter. An unfortunate story that was first reported on CrownHeights.info last week.

CROWN HEIGHTS — A teen assaulted by another youth got help from schoolmates who assisted cops in catching the attacker, the victim said. William Jones-Brown, 17, jumped from between two parked cars and punched Mordechai Spielman, 15, who was walking on Montgomery Street near Brooklyn Avenue at 11 p.m. Tuesday.

30 Bochurim Robbed in Brazen Dorm Burglary

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Today, Tuesday afternoon at about 2:45pm a Black man posing a janitor managed to steal over $5,000 worth of valuables from the Oholei Torah dorm. The man casually walked into the dorm, through the front door and started roaming the hallways.

NYPD Anti Crime Apprehend Car Burglar

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Last night Police apprehended a serial burglar that had been terrorizing vehicle owners in Crown Heights. As many as six break-ins in one night had residents so frustrated they just did not know what to do, many of these car owners were victims more than once.

Police finally took a close look at the break-ins and assigned a slew of officer to catch this perpetrator, and after a few weeks with no success last night the bugler was busted in the act.

Jew Stabbed in an Attempted Robbery

BROOKLYN, NY [CHI] — A Jewish man from Queens was stabbed this afternoon as he was leaving a building he manages on Church Avenue near Crown Heights. The incident took place on Church Avenue between Bedford and Rogers Avenue at around 1:10pm Monday Afternoon.

Charges Pending Against Man Who Allegedly Attacked Police

CROWN HEIGHTS [NY1] — Charges are pending against a Brooklyn man shot by police yesterday during an altercation at a Crown Heights subway station.

Police say Stephen McKenzie, 32, became argumentative after asking plainclothes officers for a cigarette yesterday at the Utica Avenue station.

CROWN HEIGHTS — Plain-clothes cops shot a psycho panhandler on Brooklyn subway platform this afternoon after he asked an officer for a cigarette and then inexplicably tried to stab him in the chest with a screwdriver, police sources said.

Lubavitcher Attacked and Beaten on Friday Night in an Apparent Hate Crime

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A Lubavitcher yungerman was attacked and beaten by a group of Black teens on his way to Shul this past Shabbos, on Friday night.

The incident took place on Kingston Avenue between Park Place and Prospect Place which is in the confines of the 77th Precinct. The victim was walking from his home to Shul when he passed ‘Brower Park’ he was suddenly attacked from behind.

Dumb Thief Nabbed after Robbing Car on Eastern Parkway

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — This thief couldn’t get any dumber. First he breaks into a car on Eastern Parkway in front of three witnesses, then attempted to evade capture by knocking on doors, asking to be let in for a glass of water because he was thirsty.

The thief, a Black male in his 30’s, approached a white sedan parked in the service lane on Eastern Parkway and Brooklyn Avenue at approximately 9:30pm. He smashed the drivers window of the car, reached in a took a bag, a GPS navigation unit and other assorted items. He then casually walked away, towards Albany Avenue.
