The incident startled many residents inside their homes, but none more than the driver whose rear window suddenly exploded and a bullet remained lodged in the roof liner of his car.
A Brooklyn yeshiva teacher yesterday gave harrowing testimony of how he was brutally attacked on Thanksgiving by two teens, saying they briefly knocked him unconscious, then ripped off his Hasidic garb as he tried to escape and taunted him by shouting, “Jew! Jew!”

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Regency Cleaners and Gombos Bakery were both the victims of a robbery and an attempted robbery early this morning. The dry cleaner was broken in to and a charity box was stolen, while at the bakery the thief did not manage to get it, but he caused damage.
WILLIAMSBURG [CBS2] — For the second time in two weeks, residents in Williamsburg, Brooklyn said a Hasidic Jewish man has been assaulted near the intersection of Wallabout Street and Harrison Avenue.
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A Jewish girl was attacked by a mob of four black men on Tuesday evening. The incident took place near the intersection of Union Street and Brooklyn Avenue, where the girl was accosted by the group and punched by one of them.
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A man was injured when a car struck him and knocked him down. The incident took place at around 4:30pm at the intersection of New York and Crown.
FLATBUSH [ABC] — An apparent drunk driver sideswiped a vehicle, killing a 25-year-old yeshiva student in the Midwood section of Brooklyn.
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Earlier today a 10-year-old Jewish boy was mugged at gunpoint while on his way home from school.
A local [yeshiva] teacher has been hospitalized after a brutal beating, and his three attackers may have targeted him simply because of his religion.
There’s the strange case of the policeman accused of long-term bullying who has been on fully paid leave for two years. It seems he’s lucky enough to have a doctor willing to declare his ”patient” unfit to face questions about the alleged offences. We hope the (alleged) bully’s victims are being looked after nearly as well.
