Robbery at Gun Point in the Apple Bank

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A short while ago the Crown Heights Apple Bank branch was robbed at gunpoint, and the suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The incident took place at around 12:15 this afternoon, where a black male wearing a tan hat and jacket walked into the bank and pulled a silver colored firearm on a teller and demanded money. The suspect then fled in a silver colored SUV.

Police are investigating the incident, and a level one mobilization has been called. Albany Avenue off Eastern Parkway, in front of the bank, is cordoned off.

    Way to go NYPD, by pointlessly wrapping your yellow tape around a couple of trees and poles and blocking of an entire busy sidewalk we are honestly going to be impressed and believe you guys cared about it as much as you care to fill your ticket quotas! Way to go!!!

    Ho hum no surprize hear. Just wondering what took them so long. Shootouts, murder, mugging, car thefts and break ins, mayhem and bank robberies are now the norm for our declining city.

    Wait until the real city and state layoffs start sorry for the gloomy outlook bot the greedy crooked pols are responsible for this. Maybe the people will wake up for the next election and vote for conservative judges and pols.

    What they didn’t tell you was when the robber pulled out the gun, the teller started laughing, reached behind the counter and whipped out a Mossberg 12 Gauge semi-automatic shotgun. It is then believed the words ‘make my day’ were uttered.

    Or something like that. Details are fuzzy.

    The cops walk the streets of crown heights in drones, Looking up every ally and ticketing every car that is parked in a bike lane but when real crime happens and lives are on the line. The only thing cops can do is watch the video tapes to confirm that a real crime happened.

    I’m surprised he could escape by car with this un-plowed, 10′ high ice blocking all roads in CH.

    He shoulda made his getaway by bike. Mayor Bloomberg would prefer that.

    why does everyone say that the robbery is not such a big deal coz thats what it sounds like ur all saying. if something like that happened here it would cause gr8 chaos and it would be spoken about for at least a month
