The Rostov Jewish community has a long list of the elderly and homebound. Rabbi Chaim Danzinger and a team of volunteers visit those on the list, bringing food, medicine, seasonal and holiday supplies, and much appreciated social interaction. One encounter was extra special.

Over 1000 people gathered on the San Antonio River in the heart of downtown San Antonio for the 22 Annual Chanukah on the River celebration. Hundreds of people cruised down the river in special boats outfitted with Menorahs.

For the thirteenth year, the public menorah was lit in Moscows Red Square. The menorah was lit by Russia’s Chief Rabbi and shliach, Rabbi Berel Lazar.
