Rabbi’s Departure Highlights Beis Shmuel Troubles

As reported previously, the Rabbi of Beis Shmuel-Chabad in Crown Heights, internationally renowned lecturer Rabbi Yossi Jacobson, is stepping down from his post after several years of service.

Students Perform Mitzvos for The Holy Land

In light of the situation in The Land of Israel in recent days, and following the Rebbe’s call during the 1967 War to add in Mitzvos – specifically reaching out and putting on Tefillin with Jews who would otherwise not, Bochurim from the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, NJ headed out this Friday to Rutgers University to do Mivtzoim with the newly formed “Rutgers Jewish Outreach” – a program of Chabad of New Jersey.

Chassidim Gather in Jerusalem to Celebrate, Mourn

Hundreds of Chassidim of all stripes gathered at Yeshivas Toras Emes in Jerusalem to celebrate Rosh Chodesh Kislev – the day the Rebbe returned home after suffering a heart attack in 1977. The gathering was also an opportunity to mourn the three lives lost that morning in a rocket attack on an apartment building in Nachlat Har Chabad.
