With less than 30 days to go before Yud Alef Nissan, preparations for the annual Mitzvah Tank Parade are in full swing. Following the resounding success of last year’s parade, which saw 120 tanks parading throughout NYC, anticipation for this year’s event is even greater.

The Vaad Hakohol of Crown Heights recently announced the revival of the popular “Mishpat Shalom” program to allow for the peaceful resolution of disagreements. The program will provide panels of three volunteers, under the auspices of the Beis Din of Crown Heights who will attempt to mediate various types of disputes, such as loans, business deals, contracts, landlord tenant, and even possibly family disputes.
In his letter, the Rebbe explains the right approach to Judaism – where the action comes before the reasoning and not the reasoning before the action, as one may tend to think. The mitzvos need to be done first and only after, do we learn the reasons.
