The Rebbe says:
1. In this week’s Torah portion Moshe Rabbeinu (Moses our teacher) and Aharon Hakohen (Aaron the High Priest) plead with Hashem not to destroy Korach’s entire congregation; rather, Hashem should just destroy Korach because he was the one who incited and convinced everyone to rebel against Moshe Rabbeinu.
The Torah reads, “Hashem spoke to Moshe and Aharon, saying: ‘Separate yourselves from among this congregation and I will annihilate them in an instant’. They (Moshe and Aharon) fell upon their faces and they said, ‘Almighty, the G-d of the spirits of all flesh; if one man sins shall you be angry with the entire congregation?’”

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A month and a half ago a Lubavitcher Yeshiva school bus loaded with 13 young children on their way home was pelted with stones from a group of black youths. Last night detectives from the Hate Crimes Taskforce made 4 arrests in connection with the incident.

The 14 year olds were all charged with Criminal Mischief, an arrestable offence, in addition they were charged with committing a hate crime for a attacking a Jewish school bus.
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL — In the tumultuous real estate market, it’s still possible for people to sell their homes – especially if their next-door neighbors are interested in buying.
Such is the case with Ponte Vedra Beach resident Nochum Kurinsky and his former neighbor, Curtis Long. Kurinsky bought Long’s home last fall. The two men said they are both happy with the deal and are glad things worked out as they did.
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — The final Precinct Council Meeting before the summer took place this past Thursday, June 19th with a weak turnout in contrast to past meetings where many Jewish residents turned out to show concern with the crime in Crown Heights.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Following yesterday’s report of the departure of Deputy Inspector Frank Vega, CrownHeights.info has just learned that the incoming Commanding Officer is Captain Peter Simonetti of the 72nd Precinct, which oversees the Sun Set Park area of Brooklyn.
Captain Simonetti a has long history with policing in the borough of Brooklyn, starting with his uncle, Tosano “Tony” Simonetti who was the Brooklyn South Commanding Officer, the position which is now held by Chief Jospeh Fox, and quickly worked his way up the ranks all the way to the ‘number 2’ position in the NYPD, the First Deputy Police Commissioner, which he retired from in 1997 to take a lucrative security position with billionaire Ronald Perelman.
Like his uncle, Captain Simonetti shares the same tough attitude and strong approach to the job.
Infinity Production has announced that they are now in the final phase of recording for the release of CD number 3 by Mayer Rivkin. The new CD, entitled “Wake Up Yidden”, will feature 13 Chabad – Lubavitch and other popular Nigunim with the additions of English lyrics, also known as “Camp Songs”. The lyrics that were joined to these melodies, were mostly written and composed, over the years, by staff members of numerous Chabad run overnight camps, known as Camp Gan Israel.
