ULY’s 6th Graders Express Their Avodah!
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — As part of the Chayolei Tzivos Hashem program, students of Lubavitcher Yeshiva, went all out with an interactive expo portraying the role of man’s avoda. Four units of the 6th grade division hammered out talented, creative and meaning-full exibits on the themes of Torah, Avoda, Gemilas Chassodim and Tzedaka. Parents and relatives, as well as passers-by, we’re all invited to vote for the best exihibit. At the end of a long night – one unit managed to pull slightly ahead of the others by just 3 votes – Unit Tzedaka!

With sadness we inform you of the untimely passing of Dr. Chaim Aryeh Bloom OBM after an illness, he was 57. Dr. Bloom dutifully served the Chabad community of Sydney, Australia as a physician, and as a Mohel who performed over 2000 circumcision for adults.
He is survived by his wife Aidel and children Carmella Markowitz (Flatbush, NY), Talia Broner (California), Sarah Pugen (Toronto) R. Yonah, Tuvia Mendel, Shalom DovBer, Yeshaya Simcha, and Shaina Bracha.
The Levaya will take place on Wednesday at 2:00pm at Chevra Kidasha.

Father of Slain Mumbai Victim Says He Joined Israel’s Family of Bereaved
JERUSALEM, Israel — Rabbi Shimon Rosenberg, father of Rifka Holtzberg who was murdered alongside her husband Rabbi Gabriel Holtzberg during the attack on the Chabad House in Mumbai last year, addressed a Memorial Day ceremony at the Mount Herzl military cemetery in Jerusalem on Tuesday.
