WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has taken the extraordinary step of authorizing the targeted killing of an American citizen, the radical Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who is believed to have shifted from encouraging attacks on the United States to directly participating in them, intelligence and counterterrorism officials said Tuesday.

Thousands May Lose Rental Vouchers

NEW YORK — Because of a $45 million budget gap, the New York City Housing Authority may have to revoke rental-assistance vouchers from more than 10,000 low-income tenants, a drastic move that could cause families to lose their apartments.

Jews Attacked while on Tahalucha

BROOKLYN, NY [CHI] — A father, son and another older Jewish man were attacked and injured while on Tahalucha. The incident took place on Eastern Parkway near the entrance to the botanical gardens where a number of black youths pelted them with stones, striking the group and injuring them.

NYPD Busts Alleged Drug Sellers at Retail Stores

Some stores on Nostrand Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, don’t only offer up food, music and clothes; you can even get your drug fix, according to police. That is, until Today, Tuesday.

The NYPD made a sweep of the neighborhood, putting an end to the drug dealing at six different businesses, police said. Cops busted variety stores, a music store, and three take-out restaurants.

Videos: Young Malibu Shluchim Win Local Competition

A local Malibu California newspaper, the Malibu Times, held a youth video competition entitled “Growing Up Malibu” in which contestants submitted short music videos explaining why Malibu is so great. Among the contestants were young Shluchim Dovid and Mendel Cunin who won 1st and 2nd place in the 9 to 13 age rank.
