chas v sholom the guys should make a report… bc maybe the stats in crime will rise and we may get the proper amount of cops on the street.

lets wait till somone really gets beaten up then we will all shout and scream.

HEy fat guy with cigar… ur smiling, dont you love when we fail to report these stuff. gives u a chance to take another puff.

  • what?????????????????????

    no investigation?!?!?!?!?!?!?
anti semitism in the worst form…… did they seek it?

  • Disgusted!

They unfortunately were not the only ones, my son and his group were also attacked while on Tahalucha on Eastern Parkway….shameful and very dangerous! These are hate crimes, they were only attacked because they were Jews, how can you be sure? one young Jew was of darker skin, that made the animals act even worse! These crimes need to be pursued and prosecuted…..but who has a phone on Yom Tov?

  • mr

never has such thingsx happen and they DIDINt file a report
    who is the fat guy???

  • hit them back!

Ummm….aren’t the police supposed to be there to protect the groups? If these guys wandered away from a bigger, protected group, that sends a message: stick together. There is safety in numbers.

Now make a police report. And Talucha organizers: you have 6 weeks to sort it out & get some proper protection arranged.

    where were the police?
i walked by right before this happened
about 25% of crown heights walk down eastern parkway for tahalucha and every day yet there seems to be no police patrol in the area

  • scary

reminds me when we used to go on tahlucha to williamsburg in the 70’0

  • You must work thru the system

If you or anyone you know is a victim of a rock throwing crime (or any other, G-d forbid), you must report it to the police and make a big noise. Last time there was stoning of a schoolbus, it made the newspapers. Mayor Bloomberg got very upset and his deputy over the police got involved. There were meetings in City Hall. The “children” were apprehended. If you don’t report it, no one knows it happened. There were plenty of police around the neighborhood over YomTov, especially around 770. Anyone who fails to report allows the next episode to occur. It’s a pain, but it is the right thing to do, for you and the entire community.

  • Concerned

Unfortunately, to be treated properly by the authorities, you need to be protected to make a report while the perpetrators are still on the scene. Don’t do it alone!

  • thank you

a big yasher koach to the hechts who helpe the ppl clean their wounds

  • from bp

If any Rabbi cares for the woman and children in Ch they need to give them a hetar to carry a cell on shabb/yom tov..OFF, but just in case..

  • rocked

Yeh, probably the best thing to do is file a report, but how many people who think a report should have been filed know what that means? Any idea of the time and process involved?

Yes, there MIGHT be overall benefit, but no one should demand mesiras nefesh of another.

So some lessons are – you’re never 100% safe; If you do get your rights abused, try to file a report; If you can, catch the perpetrators and either feed them their own medicine, or have them arrested; If someone gets attacked/hurt, keep your mouth shut about what they should have done to avoid getting hurt and just offer support; oh, and get a gun license, get a permit, and learn how to use one. Those things have a way of teaching some really good lessons

I am Hindu but I do have many many jew friends here in India. But guys let me tell you one thing:
Its impossible to get rid of racism, racist always find a way to hate other, for example racist new and latest target after black people is jew and mexicans.

But I do know one thing and want you all to understand if you ignore the incident of racism or become a victim of racism and didn’t report then you are worse than racism.

In other words ignoring racism is also racist act.
