YNS – Rabbi ‘O’s Yeshiva – Set to Open After Succos

Preparations are in full swing for the opening of the yeshiva in New Jersey. Rabbi Orimland, Rosh Yeshiva, is overwhelmed at the positive response of parents towards the upcoming academic year. Rabbi ‘O’ explains that in addition to Chassidus and Nigleh he has arranged a complete English curriculum with certified teachers to meet the requirements of receiving a New Jersey High School diploma.

Sicha of the Rebbe – Succos

The Rebbe says:

1. During the holiday of Succos (Sukkot) there are many other Mitzvos (commandments) which we are commanded to fulfill besides for sitting and living in the Succah. 2. The Rebbe now gives five reasons as to why this holiday is specifically named “Succos” after the commandment to sit in the Succah and not after any of the other commandments related to this holiday:

Whether the Weather Be Fine, Holiday Booths Will Weather the Weather

by Jessica Naiman – Chabad.org

Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Mendel Zarchi helps a Jewish visitor make a blessing on the Four Species inside his sukkah in Puerto Rico.

With each passing day before Sukkot Jews the world over turn their faces toward the heavens, collectively wondering if the weather will hold for the seven-day festival. The holiday is a time for family, food and stargazing, but for many, it’s also a time for parkas, rain jackets, bee traps and outdoor air conditioners.
