1 Dead in Wild Utica Ave Shootout

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — It was like a scene out of the wild west, multiple shootings spanning an entire bustling block which left one man dead, and another seriously injured.

The incident took place at the exit of the Utica Avenue subway station on the corner of Utica and Eastern Parkway, and continued across the street, all the way to the opposite corner of Union Street where blood and a shot out store window marked the violent incident.

Tens of ambulances and even more police officers responded to scene, which was complete chaos according to an eye witness who said “police and EMS had no idea what was happening or where to go.”

Eventually they found one victim lying on the ground, and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and another was listed in stable condition.

There have been no arrests made, and police are investigating.

they watched too much violent television as kids and too many drugs as adults. how tragic that the people who live there have to live in fear of these occurences, and yet they don’t band together to fight drugs and crime.

In the old west they used to hire a new marshal maybe that’s what we need today.

Where’s Marshal Dillon when we need him?

A nes no Yiddin were hurt. Just like in Mitzrayim during the makka of hoshech, when the goyim were in darkness and the Yiddin had light.

there are many sector cars assigned to that corner but 2 officers were eating KFC, @ officers were across the street in McDonalds, 4 officers were busy trying to flirt with the 16b year old jewish girl waiting for the bus and the EMS crew was sleeping in the Ambulance. we have many people here to protect and help us but they are way to busy with their own agendas.

I was visiting New York for buisness and decided to come into Crown Heights because I had never been before. I felt very safe within the Yiddish community, however I did not feel safe venturing too far out of the community. I think the Shorim have done a wonderful job in keeping the community safe, and I hope this article dosen’t deter anyone who is possibly thinking about visiting Crown Heights.
