The man, 36, knocked on the door of a nearby Jewish home at midnight. The residents called Shomrim, a group of orthodox Jewish men who patrol the neighborhood. The Shomrim arrived at the scene and called police, who are investigating it as a possible hate crime. All four assailants were black.
