Following the Rebbe’s lead from Purim Koton 5741, a massive Rally for all grades, from pre-1A to grade 8 in Oholei Torah. This is one of the few times that the entire school gathered together, which takes great strategic planning and thought, to capture the attention of all the talmidim.

Conejo Chabad Hosts “Matisyahu Unplugged” Event

CONEJO VALLEY, CA [CHI] — On Tuesday, Chabad of Conejo hosted 1700 people at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza for “Matisyahu Unplugged,” a strictly acoustic concert to benefit their Building Campaign. The large turnout for the up-close and personal performance was treated to a surprise appearance by popular singer Trevor Hall, Matisyahu’s long time friend and co-song writer.

Ignoring Alcohol Abuse in Yeshiva Won’t Make it go Away

BUFFALO, NY, [CHI] — Recent studies have determined that alcohol ranks “most harmful” among a list of 20 drugs, according to an article on the study released by The Lancet Journal last November. Yet in many yeshivos Adar ushers in a month of fabrengens and of course L’chaim! Many young bochurim will be exposed to tremendous peer pressure to take a sip, and unwittingly start on the road to a terrible addiction. In Buffalo, Mesivta Menachem has taken preemptive action.
