Rims Stolen Off Two Cars

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Two cars were the targets of thieves who stole the wheel rims off of two parked cars in Crown Heights. Both cars were parked within a block from each other.

The cars were parked on East New York Avenue off Kingston, and on Kingston off Maple.

One of the cars, a Nissan Maxima, had special wheel locks installed, but the thieves broke into the car, found the lock key and used it to remove two of the cars wheels.

This, along with mirror thefts, has become the new trend after air bag thefts seem to have slowed.

I passed. By this morning about 7:00 and only two tires were taken off. I guess the other two were done in the morning. Wow to think that they are not afraid .

IT’S HORRIBLE THAT SOMETHING LIKE THIS IS HAPPENING IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. THE NYPD’S 71 PRECINCT NEED TO STEP UP THEIR PATROLS THROUGHOUT THE AREA. MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE OWNERS OF THE VEHICLES AFFECTED. WHOEVER IS RESPONSIBLE MUST PAY FOR THEIR EVIL DEEDS. THIS MUST STOP. ARE WE GOING BACK TO THE BAD OLD 1990s AGAIN???
