The Lubavitch community in Miami Beach got together last night for a Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengen at the Jewish Learning Center on 41st St. Attending were Rabbi Avrohom Korf, Head Shliach to Florida, who gave the opening address; Rabbi Leibel Schapiro, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Gedola of Greater Miami; Rabbi Pinchas Weberman who made a ‘Siyum HaShas;’ and Guest Speaker Rabbi Yossi Groner, Head Shliach to the Carolinas, who gave the keynote address.

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Earlier this week, executives from the Port Authority visited Crown Heights and the Lubavitch World Headquarters. They were accompanied by Rabbi Sholom Moshe Paltiel, Shliach in Port Washington, New York and Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky of Merkos Linyonei Chinuch.
To preface, I’m a 21 year old bochur who is currently in his last stage of the “system.” We all hear the statement that “the Yeshiva System is messed up;” it is echoed daily by people all across Lubavitch: students, parents, teachers, Shluchim, observers, etc.

Monday night, some 20 people gathered for an innovative Torah study session. Between bites of Sushi, their excited voices filled the room as they took turns learning.
