This past Pesach, at a hotel in beautiful Whistler, BC, Canada, two of Jewish world’s most fascinating and facile speakers sat down to discuss a wide range of current issues: Lord Jonathan Sacks, kt, MA (Oxon), Phd (Kings), Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom, and Mr. Dennis Prager, the American syndicated radio talk show host, syndicated columnist, author, and public speaker, and Media Fellow at the Hoover Institute at Stanford University.
Just in time for Rosh Hashana, the Jewish community of Dusseldorf, Germany welcomed a brand new Sefer Torah to their synagogue, led by Shliach to the city Rabbi Chaim Barkahan.

On Monday evening, a meeting was held with the attendance of several Lubavitcher Askanim and Baalei Batim, with the stated purpose of getting people more involved in the Hachnosas Orchim activities of the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim Ha’olami.

Binghamton University hosted a special event to remember the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks. The 10th annual Mitzvah Marathon was held outside the University Union, hosted by the Chabad Center for Jewish Student Life and in conjunction with Hillel at Binghamton.

The Kehot Publication Society’s production department, at its end-of-year meeting, has released some figures for the outgoing year of 5772. “Between new titles and reprints we published some 246,877 volumes,” says production coordinator Rabbi Mendel Laine.
